Sadly one man down due to sickness, but the task needed doing.

Fab and quirky accommodation last night (Union Road Moto Velo) and great breakfast surrounded by motorcycles- remind me why we are using pedal power!?

So, 8 hills today and 4 of them within the first 30 minutes! Tough start but was good to get them out of the way!

Largest tea cake at the coffee spot & the chance to watch a member of our support crew acting like a child on holiday (sadly no photos of cream on his nose).

Was a day of 2 halves - beautiful morning but a very damp, nah, soaking wet afternoon.

Lessons from today :

Somerset flats are

Tow paths are not (flat)

190 cows heading to be milked take a long time to go past

Bus stops are a welcome sight for a break when it’s pouring with rain

Sunday Roast consumed, time for bed !

Another 68 miles tomorrow when we will catch up with the rest of the team 👍

What's with the pig?

Simon loved pigs and Puppet Pig, a furry glove puppet, was a particular friend. I hid him in unexpected places - drawers, Simon's satchel, under pillows - for the joy of hearing Simon say Eeeeee, Puppet Pig, what are you doing here?

Leaving Puppet Pig at home was not an option.
